I have gone through many cell phones in the 10 years that I have used mobiles. This is certainly one of my favorite phones I have ever had!! And I have had many phones that I have used and destroyed in some way or another.
Ok so this thing's buttons break super easy! Has horrible memory unless you buy the memory stick which is like another $35! Also it is pretty confusinging. You have to be really patient when trying to learn how to work it. But-I love the radio and the camera is actually pretty good.
Although it has those kinda Cons i still enjoy it This fone is an improvement in size and functionality over my old flip phone. I would buy another if need be.

Short extract: The Sony Ericsson W580i is just right for my purposes. It literally fits in the palm of my hand. The other big deal is that I got it for free. Yes, I said free. I needed a new contract for wireless service. The discount store and AT&T gave me a great deal.

Short extract: The W580i is one of Sony Ericsson's line of Walkman-branded handsets. These music focused phones are popular globally, but few of them have made it to the United States. The W580i is one of the few that has, carried by AT&T.
Conclusion: We found ourselves liking the W580i a lot. The Walkman-branded handset has a very good music player, and takes better-than-average photos and has a decent Web browser. This doesn't mean it's without problems, however.

Short extract: Discuss this product Review posted October, 2007 by Tong Zhang, Senior Editor When it comes to Sony Ericsson phones, US users are often out of luck. US carriers don’t offer many SE phones which means we have to pay very high prices for import models.
Conclusion: The Sony Ericsson W580i Walkman phone continues its strong position in music and gaming, and it offers plenty of goodies in a small package. If you to listen music frequently on your phone, this is a great choice at an entry to mid-tier price range.

Summary: Despite the polyphony being 72-tone, the handset does not provide a breakthrough in sounding of mp3 tunes as compared to other Sony Ericsson branded phones. The loudspeaker is average volume-wise and has a great deal of basses in its sounding, so the call is easily heard even on the streets.
Short extract: While the Sony Ericsson W580i comes from the Walkman line-up, it caters for the younger audience, people leading active life-stile and music-aficionados addicted to communication. The model was initially planned as a youth-aimed offering, and the maker tried to avoid any sort of overlapping with the...
