I saw someone using this camera and I said to myself "I've got to get one of these!". The camera is compact and light and comes with a battery that gives it a lot of shooting time. The images on the 3" screen are sharp with excellent color.
When I was looking for a back-up point and shoot, I considered the P7000, S95, G12, and the Samsung TL500. But I'm a broke college student, so the ones that fell on my budget were a used TL500 and a brand new P7000.
I love the layout of this camera except that the dials, especially the +-bias dial, should have been made stiffer, as it is too easily rotated going in and out of a bag. You always have to remember to check this dial even when you are in a hurry for your shot.
I keep this camera in my car-it fits under the seat in it's own case I'm still learning all of the styles, but all that i've tried work very well kudos to Nikon for giving us a printed manual with all the options it is needed Nikon help desk a definate plus-as some of the functions have different

Novices are bound to be a bit intimidated by its array of buttons and dials, but photographers who have used Nikon's DSLR cameras will welcome the familiar button layout.
