after years of satisfaction using a Sony P93, it was time to upgrade. the choice fell to Sony H3 or Canon A590, they are very similar. sorry, but having to mess with a lens cap, not using readily available AA batteries and twice as much price killed the deal for me.

I bought thi camera as I always love sony, and it has the 10 x optical zoom, i like for my cruise pictures. Lighweight and easy to use. DO not like the price on the duo memory card but I can get them on e-bay as the local stores charge more for them, but sony is changing this and going to sd cards.

I have had this camera for approximately two years...It takes awesome shots of my son playing football (yes, even close ups!), and basketball as well, although the lighting is low when using the sports action setting inside..

I bought this for myself as a Christmas gift. The number one reason for buying it is the 10x optical zoom. I really enjoy it compared to my old 4x. I took the camera skiing two weeks ago. My son was skiing down hill and I was shooting movie after him. The result is outstanding.
