    Purchased this device expecting more than I received. Works fine and it appears to be of sturdy design. It maintains a satellite signal throughout the golf round and uses 2 AA batteries. It appears you can get at least two 3-1/2 to 4 hour rounds.

    This model has great features but has one failing that cannot be overlooked. The screen is NOT bright enough. I read similar comments before purchasing the product but thought it couldn't be that bad because I am a Garmin fan. I was wrong.

    Garmin G5 is a must have for any golfer. Very easy to use and simple design. Updates in real time, quick reads on yardages. Touchscreen allows you to set pin placement for even more accurate yardages.

    I think I'd save my money if I had to do it over. There are enough clues for me to approximate the distance to the green. The 5 to 10 yards I'd be off is no worse than the G5.If your out of town, the course your playing may not be in the unit.
